Answer with your gut, not what sounds nicest. There are no wrong answers, and at the end you can send a private link to your partner to compare.

How this love language quiz works

This quiz has 10 everyday scenarios. Each answer points toward one of the five love languages: words of affirmation, quality time, receiving gifts, acts of service and physical touch. Your result is the language you picked most often, which is usually the one you notice first when it’s missing.

It takes about a minute, there’s no sign-up, and your answers are scored in your browser.

Compare with your partner (Duo mode)

When you finish, tap Compare with your person to create a private link. When your partner or friend takes the quiz through it, you’ll both see your results side by side, a match score and practical tips for showing love in the way the other person actually feels it.

A note on the science

The five love languages come from Gary Chapman’s popular 1992 book, not from clinical research. Later studies have found that most people value all five and that the framework works best as a way to talk about needs, not as a fixed personality type. Treat your result as a conversation starter. What to do with your result

  • Share it with your partner and ask what theirs is. You may give love in a different language than the one you want to receive.
  • Pick one small, specific action from the other person’s result to try this week.
