Answer with your gut, not what sounds most romantic. At the end you can send a private link to your partner or crush to compare your types.

How this soulmate type quiz works

This quiz asks 10 everyday questions about first dates, texting, disagreements, weekend plans and the little ways you show care. Each answer leans toward one of six soulmate types: The Calm Anchor, The Wild Adventurer, The Hopeless Romantic, The Witty Best Friend, The Deep Thinker and The Steady Builder. Your result is the type you chose most often. It describes both the kind of partner you tend to be drawn to and the way you naturally give love.

It takes about a minute, there’s no sign-up, and your answers are scored right in your browser. Go with your first instinct rather than the answer that sounds most romantic; the result is more useful that way.

Compare with your partner (Duo mode)

When you finish, tap Compare with your person to create a private link. Send it to a partner, a crush or even a close friend. Once they take the quiz through that link, you’ll both see your types side by side, a match score and a short tip on how to love each other well. Want more ways to see how you fit together? A quick honesty note

This is a quiz for fun and self-reflection, not a scientific test, and it can’t tell you who your soulmate is. The six types are simple, friendly labels for patterns many people recognize in themselves. Most of us are a mix, and your answers may shift depending on your mood or the season of life you’re in. If you’re curious about the research side of how people bond, our explainer on attachment styles is a good next read.

What to do with your result

  • Share it with your partner and talk about whether it fits. Ask what they think their type is before they take the quiz.
  • Read the partner tip on your result page and pass it along. It’s a simple way to say “this is what helps me feel loved.”
  • Turn it into a conversation starter. Our list of questions to ask your partner pairs well with any result.
  • Plan something that suits both of your types. Need inspiration? Try these date night ideas at home.
  • Curious how you give and receive affection? Take our love language quiz next and compare the two results.

Whatever type you get, remember that every one of them has its own strengths. The best relationships aren’t between two identical people, but between two people who understand each other a little better every day.
